Our Story.
Pretty Dead Decor has been creating unusual pieces since 2020. Behind the work is Simone, a South African artist and writer who previously worked as a professional photographer.
Based in Suurbraak, the shop brings skulls, bones, porcelain dolls and preserved specimens into pieces for people who find beauty in the unexpected.
Ethical sourcing is at the heart of the work. No animal is harmed for a Pretty Dead Decor piece. Each creation offers another way to appreciate the detail and character of what remains.
