Seller and delivery
Simone van Wyk, sole proprietor trading as Pretty Dead Decor. 131 Oorkantrivier, Suurbraak 0661334966 | prettydeaddecor@gmail.com
Simone handles orders, returns and privacy requests. Listed prices appear on the product pages. Simone confirms availability, the final total and delivery terms with you before sending a payment link. Standard delivery for ready-made products takes 5–7 business days after full payment, including the final instalment of an agreed payment plan. If a product or commission needs a different production or delivery timeframe, or has other special terms, these will be disclosed and agreed before the order is placed.
Payment plans by arrangement
Payment plans are available by arrangement with Simone for ready-made products, with up to four payments over no more than four months. Before your first payment, we confirm the product, total price and any delivery charge, payment amounts and due dates. You may choose fewer payments or settle early. No interest, finance charge or cancellation fee applies. Your product is reserved and released for delivery only after full payment. Standard delivery then takes 5–7 business days unless a different timeframe was agreed. Simone sends a Yoco App payment link for the agreed full amount or instalment. Any payment plan must be agreed with Simone before payment.
If payments are missed, we will contact you, including after two missed monthly payments. Two missed payments do not automatically cancel the plan or make the product available for resale. You may cancel before paying in full. If the balance remains unpaid after 60 business days following your agreed final-payment date, we may cancel the plan. We will confirm cancellation in writing before relisting the product. For this calculation, the starting day, Saturdays, Sundays and South African public holidays are excluded. [2]
If you cancel before paying in full, or we cancel for non-payment under the terms above, we refund all payments received, without a cancellation deduction. If you prefer, you may choose store credit for the full amount paid; that credit does not expire. Store credit is optional and does not replace your right to a refund. Your statutory rights remain unchanged. These payment-plan terms cover ready-made goods; personalised commissions require separately agreed terms. [2]
Cancellations and returns
Contact Simone with your order reference to cancel or arrange a return. Please get in touch promptly if your product arrives damaged, is defective or differs from its description. This request does not shorten your legal rights.
For online purchases covered by section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, you may cancel without giving a reason within seven days after receiving your product. A full refund is due within 30 days of cancellation. You pay only the direct cost of returning the product for this change-of-mind cancellation; there is no cancellation or restocking penalty. [1]
Where the Consumer Protection Act’s quality warranty applies, goods that fail its standards may be returned within six months of delivery, without penalty and at our risk and expense. You may choose repair, replacement or a refund as provided by the Act. An identical replacement may be unavailable for a one-off product; your applicable remedies remain. [2]
Returns come to 131 Oorkantrivier, Suurbraak. Contact Simone to arrange suitable return handling. Your statutory rights do not depend on discretionary approval. Nothing here limits your rights under South African consumer law. One-off products are not automatically excluded from online cooling-off rights; any future personalised commission needs its own appropriate terms.
Privacy notice
Simone van Wyk, trading as Pretty Dead Decor at the address above, is responsible for the information described here. Send privacy requests to prettydeaddecor@gmail.com.
Purchase enquiries and orders: A purchase-request button opens your own email app; it does not send the message automatically. Your enquiry goes to the shop’s Gmail inbox. Simone uses the information you provide to answer your request, arrange a reservation and payment, and handle delivery, returns or refunds. We ask for contact and delivery details when needed to fulfil the order. Relevant delivery information is shared with the courier handling your delivery.
Hosting and records: The shop runs on OpenAI Sites with Cloudflare hosting and storage. Its protected manager records the piece, reservation, price, payment status, Yoco sale reference and fulfilment history. Any buyer contact details or private fulfilment notes saved there are encrypted. Enquiry emails remain separately in the shop’s Gmail inbox. Hosting providers process technical connection and security information; we do not promise anonymous browsing or an absence of platform logs or cookies.
Payments: After approving your request and reserving the piece, Simone creates a payment link in the Yoco App with the agreed amount and purchase reference, and sends it to you. Yoco may also receive the customer name entered when the link is created. You enter payment details on Yoco’s payment page; our site does not collect or store card details. Simone checks Yoco’s sales records before recording payment as confirmed. Yoco handles information entered on its payment page under its privacy policy. [3]
Manual purchasing: The email-request and manual payment-link process does not create an online customer account or a browser-held receipt-access key. Keep your email correspondence and Yoco payment receipt, and contact Simone with your purchase reference if you need help.
Commission enquiries: The form sends your name, email, optional telephone, location and project details through FormSubmit.co to the shop’s Gmail inbox. FormSubmit documents a 30-day submission archive. That does not delete the separate emailed copy from the shop’s mailbox. [4]
International processing: These services may process information outside South Africa. Sites does not offer a South Africa-only data location, and the shop’s exact database region has not been verified. Yoco and Google also describe international processing. Their published notices explain their own processing practices; we do not claim that every provider has the same contractual role or safeguards. [3][5]
Retention and rights: We keep records while needed to fulfil their purpose or meet lawful record-keeping requirements, then delete or de-identify information when no retention ground remains. We do not add customers to a marketing mailing list. You may request access or correction, request deletion where applicable, or object where the law permits. Contact Simone, or complain to the Information Regulator at POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za or 010 023 5200. [6]
